Queen's Korner

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Queen's Korner is a non-profit organization centered around the care of African American women across various communities, predominate being low income areas. The Queens Korner Doula Initiative is geared towards connecting mothers with Doulas within their local areas.

The Queen’s Korner Doula Grant was created so every African American family has the chance to experience the labor of their dreams despite financial hardship. With this grant, you will be able to receive full spectrum doula care, lactation services as well as a hospital bag for the day of your little ones arrival.

Thanks to Detroit Is Us we were be able to help over 5 families in the Detroit, MI area in 2021!

This grant is to help low income families so we do ask for certain information to confirm the financial need. If you are still interested in receiving Doula services outside of the Queen's Korner Doula Grant feel free to book a FREE Doula Consultation under our services tab we live to serve our community.

PLEASE NOTE:

* MUST be a resident of the United States

* Must Be African American

* Prospects should only apply if they are in their 2nd (13 weeks) trimester or later.

**Documentation may be requested for proof of financial hardship**

The average cost of Doula care is around $500 - $1,000 per family depending on care being received. In order to provide this free service to low income African American we rely primarily on donations and grants. If you would like to support our visit of helping families over the next year we would greatly appreciate you patronage.
